Reflections
I see myself through the smiley faces on the foggy shower door. I see myself through the little boy playing outside my bedroom window. I see myself through the letters inscribed on the mirrors of the car, closer than they appear. I see myself through the puddles of the storm that only dreamed of being the lighting that struck twice. I see myself through the blinking cursor of my unwritten future, lost yet found. I see myself through the held back tears of eyes that wish to feel no longer. I look into the mirror and a stranger stares back.
